Florida Whimsical  Residence

Artwork

  • This painting was the inspiration for the color scheme  we went with. Subtle hues of aqua accented with bright pops of color.

Foyer

  •  Before: We decided to dress up Foyer and Dining Area with wainscotting.

  •   After: This Tampa home truly reflects the family's personality. When you first walk in you get a taste of this eclectic mix with the custom designed Foyer deep slate blue table accented with coral lamp and paired with a classic gold frame mirror.

Dining Area

  •  Dining Room family photos are collaged on two tier floating shelves. Pendant light was custom designed  and colored between client and myself.

  •  This beautiful wooden wine display is really a work of art that is a great addition to the dining area.

  •  Custom Light Fixture over dining table.

Library

  • Soft Blues and Greys became the backdrop for this home.  One of the challenges this room was the intense Florida sunlight that would flood the room. Custom Sun Drapes with a blue bird pattern covered the unused sliding door. We covered the entire wall to add dimension to the space.

  • Before: The client had this beautiful ottoman that we  had reupholstered.

  • After:  The client wanted a reading area for their family that had no TV in the room. We made the custom off white bookcase the focal point of the room. The aqua blue settee sets the backdrop to add pops of color with intense pinks and fushias. The newly reupholstered ottoman balances out the room.

  •   Custom Bookshelf was the main focal point in this room.

Kitchen

  • The client fell in love with a backsplash she had found. We coordinated it with a granite counter top that had blue hues in it but was also a subtle backdrop to the pop of color the backsplash demanded.

  • Intense hot pink with a  turquoise rim drape pendant fixture  from WAC Lighting was a true find as it coordinated with our vibrant color scheme.

  • Custom barstools where a whimsical addition to this kitchen. The legs were distressed in a coral finish, made to look like old washed up beach chairs. Playful starfish dress up the barstools.

  • The client wanted more counterspace for prep area, Large size of the kitchen seemed inconvenient to have prep areas too far away from the cooking area. We added an additional one of a kind island that mimicked the angle of the other island making the shape of a trapezoid. The island was made to look like two tables on top of each other. We added a drawer on one end and fed electrical wire to add an outlet for appliances.

  • Opposite the island was a small breakfast nook that was a custom banquette in a neutral color. The valance was a coral pattern in coral color. We paired it with a glass table

Family Room

  • Much of the existing furniture remained in this room. We added an oversized chair and ottoman in a neutral color adjacent to the TV armoire. To add some pops of color we had pillows made to coordinate with our theme. We added color on the wall by adding their children's pictures in pop art canvases which we were able to custom color to coordinate with our theme.
